Readers are Leaders, Earners are Learners

One of the greatest examples of life long learning has been my Uncle Dan. It seems like every time we talk, he is handing me a new book to read that he has recently finished and shares with me what he has learned from it. Dan is always encouraging us to have two books with us at all times; one to read and one to write in. This principle has been very valuable to him throughout his life. A few years ago Dan co-authored and republished a book titled "Lessons From Great Lives" which gives a peek into the lives of some the greatest people who have ever lived. I don't think that it is a coincidence that all of the leaders from the past, as well as our modern-day leaders, share a similar quality: They all have a life-long devotion to learning. Dan, a self-made millionaire, has been blessed with many great achievements in his life and has continued to "sharpen the saw" which, in my opinion, has been one of the greatest assets in his continued success.
